eko mania log maker Posted: 03 September 2010
This lived up to its robust construction;if often used your hands get accustomed to the metal - although an improvement would be to round the handles. It is easier to remove the " basket" from this appliance than others I have tried. The overhang of the basket is bigger than the frame and you can lift it out with your fingers.
Roll on winter nights Posted: 16 August 2010
We have only had the Log Maker for a short while but have already made a considerable number of "Paper Logs" for the fire.
The task of making the logs is very simple.
We have adopted an old small round dustbin with a lid for the purpose of making the paper mache.
TIP:- Dont leave the paper in water for more than a couple of days as the smell generated after this period will deter you from doing it again. Just make enough for your current brickmaking needs.
The bricks are of a good quality and if placed in a green house or warm dry place tend to dry out within a couple of weeks.
We are looking forward to a nice FREE warm winter this year.
Fits the Bill ! Posted: 15 August 2010
Does what it is intended for - to destroy paper containing personally identifyable information, junk mail and other waste paper and create free heat from junk. I bought this to burn paper in a fire or burner. The logs take about 2 hours to burn, they do leave a lot of ash so you'll need to use the poker quite a bit afterwards. The logs are easy and fun to make, just find an area where you can leave the paper to soak for a few days and to let the logs dry for a couple of weeks after they are made.

Very impressed with the arrival of the parcel##The log maker is very easy to us but the brick do take alot of drying out ( probably the summer) Look forward to burning them

We used this all winter; used up our newspapers and haven't bought a firelighter since. The bricks burn really well, the denser you make them the longer they burn. I gave it to my man as an extra Christmas present, and it was the BIG success!
