If you want a "proper" shovel then this is for you!! Also, I found this a better buy than the equivalent in Homebase etc.

I bought this item in the preparation for more snow. I had a standard garden shovel last time which was backbreaking so I was looking for something that had a bigger head to move snow quicker.
This item is far too heavy!
When it was delivered i couldn't believe how heavy it was. Frankly I think it's too heavy and to compensate for the weight you don't even get a longer handle.
If you're looking to buy something to go in the shed as a snow shovel i would look elsewhere.

After the adverse weather of late shifting snow, more-so the compacked frozen type was no match for the Silverline GT30 Square Mouth Shovel,after using those "plastic" snow scoops,which are OK in fresh snow but no good when the going becomes tough.Using this shovel reminded me of the big freeze 62/63 everyone in our village had a shovel as nearly all menfolk worked at the pits,clearing snow away was a reconized issue of which everyone pulled together. Hopefully my GT30 should see me out...............

After all the snow we had this year (12") and it being walked on regularly therefore heavily compacted! This cut through it effortlessly. I am disabled but found this was light and very easy to use. My neighbour cleared his path of snow and it took him the best part of a day whereas it only took me 45 minutes to clear the same amount from my path! Highly recommended!

I purchased three shovels for family members and everyone was extremely impressed with the quality and exceptional value for money. The weight was not an issue and it cut through the ice, which was underneath the snow, like it was butter. The length of the handle was not a problem either for my family, even with the variation of heights from 5'1 and 6'1. Excellent value!!!
